An excellent example: SugarStats
Last saturday, at the Health2.0 unconference in Amsterdam, I met Marston Alfred, founder of SugarStats. His story is an excellent example of positive results of monitoring yourself.
Marston has diabetes. Over a year ago, he started to digitally administer sugar, food and medication intake, as well as his physical activities. Since no online tool existed, he built his own. That personal project grew into a successful company.

By keeping track of his behavior and its effects on his health indicators, he lowered his HbA1C score by 3 percentage points over 1 year. This lowers the risk of complications caused by diabetes with almost 80%. His story tells of regained eye sight and “not feeling lethargic”.
SugarStats is an inspirational example for lijst.com. We have no niche in mind to cater and are looking forward to see what users will choose to monitor.
Marston A. replied:
Thanks for the post. It was great going to to the unconference, meeting so many visionaries and being able to talk to everyone.
Great meeting you as well, really interested in your idea and hope you follow through with it as I think it has a lot of potential!
